VEENA'S POV

"Arey yaar....yeh kya kar rahe hai aap? Maine isye vaha rakhne ke liye kaha tha. Dhyan kaha hai aapka?" I yelled at the worker who was working.

(Arey yaar.....what are you doing? I told you to keep this there. Where are you lost?")

It has been hectic. Doing all the arrangements in two houses.

I am carrying a big basket of flowers from one house to the other.

God knows where all these workers are.

I was walking fast as my mind was wandering on random things.

I suddenly tripped on something and I lost my balance and left the basket.

I closed my eyes ready to kiss the ground but to my surprise, I didn't feel anything.

I opened my eyes only to find myself inches away from the ground.

That's when I felt a sudden pull, making me lose my balance again and I crashed into something hard.

"Ouccchhh." I rubbed my head with my free hand and took a step back to look at the source.

"Seriously!!! How do you end up everywhere I go?" I questioned him.

"Why do you keep running behind trouble, sweetheart? What if I wasn't there?" He mocked me and I rolled my eyes.

"I would rather prefer to fall and break my face than to see your face and ruin my day." I said and turned to leave from there.

"Ouch....that hurts." He said as he came behind me.

"Like i care." I just ignored and went to carry another basket of flowers.

I turned only to get blocked by him.

He held the basket from the other end and looked at me.

"Let me carry." He insisted.

I didn't say anything. I held the basket still looking at him.

"Please?" He requested.

"What do you want Dhruv?" I asked.

I know him from when we were kids and he's definitely not a person who would help you until and unless he has some benefit behind it.

"What? Can't I just help you without wanting something?" He argued.

"Cut the crap. Go tell this to someone who does't know anything about you." I retorted.

"Ok fine. I am sorry. I just felt bad when you said that in the bar that day." He confessed.

"About what?"

"You know...... When you told 'because of guys like me, girls like you lose hope on love.'" He said and I looked at him shocked.

"You're sorry for that?" I asked completely shocked by where this conversation is heading.

"Yeah. I'll behave properly from now. But again only if you start behaving properly with me. Like the way you behave with others." He added.

I thought for a while and nodded my head.

"So, a truce?" He asked.

"I guess so." I said and he took the basket from my hand with a wide smile.

"Thank you sweetheart. Your the best. That's why I call you sweetheart." He said excitedly crashing my hopes.

"Uggghh.... You started with this sweetheart crap again." I muttered and walked away.

I was so tired with arranging all the stuff that I came and sat down for a while.

"What else can I do for you ma'am?" A sudden voice came from behind all of a sudden.

"Ohh god... You scared me." I said keeping a hand on my heart.

He laughed and sat down.

"So what else?" He asked and I cursed myself for not getting even one minute of peace.

"Do you see that table there?" I asked

"Yes."

"Go and arrange the glasses in order. Orange petals then yellow petals. Alternative. Got it?" I asked and he nodded and went to do that work.

After all the arrangements were done, it was time for haldiiii.

I and Nithya were helping Megha with her jewellery.

"Ohh god..... Why is this so itchy?" Megha irritated with the flower accessories asked and we both laughed.

"What's there to laugh? Why couldn't you get something comfortable?" She was definitely annoyed.

"Ok drama queen, stop it now. Your gonna wear it only for 1 hour or Max 2 hours." Nithya said and she whinned like a kid

We all went near the venue and started with the haldi.

Each person went one by one and applied the haldi and took a cup of flower petals and showered it on them.

"You look lost."

Why the hell does he show up all of a sudden.

"They look cute." I said.

It was true. Mostly they didn't realise it but they looked really good together. Like they say match made in heaven.

"They do." Dhruv agreed and I smiled.

"Come let's go. Only we guys are left." I said pulling Nithya with me and Dhruv and Vineet followed.

"Guys.... Don't put to much. Just little ok?" Megha said as she was already covered with haldi.

We four looked at each other and smiled.

We took the bowl of haldi and went near her.

"It's revenge time sweetie." Nithya said taking a huge amount of haldi in her hand and putting it all over her face.

"Ohhh my goooood. Are you serious?" Megha said looking terrified at what Nithya did.

We all laughed at her and she gave us her 'do not laugh at me or you will regret later' glare.

"That won't work. Okay?" I said taking haldi in my hand.

"Keep smiling. You will not regret this. I swear." I whispered as I smeared the haldi all over her hands.

"Now my chance. Move from my way." Dhruv came taking way too much haldi on his hand.

"Dhruv no.... You better stop there." Megha warned but he ignored her and put the haldi all on her face.

"Dhruvvvvvvv." She yelled making all of us laugh.

"To the most favourite person of mine." He said with a genuine smile.

He and Megha are definitely close. I know that, because they both used to do a lot of not so legal things behind everyone's back.

Vineet went and took some haldi in his hand.

"Vineet at least you show some pity on this innocent child." She requested making a puppy face.

He squatted in front of her and took little haldi and spread it on each side of her cheek.

"You might be seen as a tough one for others but we know the child in you." He said putting some haldi on her nose.

She scrunched her nose and then pouted to which everyone started laughing.

We went to the other side and started applying haldi to Yuvraj.

The guys literally jumped on him and convered him with the yellowness of the haldi.

I went towards him and sat on my knees in front of him.

"I didn't ask you, why you agreed for this marriage because I know this was the best decision you have ever made. Use kabhi dukh mat pahunchao, Yuvraj." I said as I applied haldi on each side of his cheek.

(......never hurt her, Yuvraj)

He smiled and nodded.

Nithya came and started applying haldi to him and they spoke something and then everyone started throwing water on them.

With that the haldi ceremony came to an end.

VINEET'S POV

The mehendi artists were waiting from the past half an hour and none of them showed up, apparently everyone was busy getting ready.

"I am not going near that mehendi. So, I'll go to my room." Yuvraj said eyeing the mehendi cones.

"Come on Yuvraj. It's your mehendi today." I tried cheering him up.

He rolled his eyes sitting down.

Finally the girls came and started getting their mehendi done.

Half an hour and it was still going on.

Nithya's and Veena's mehendi was done.

Megha's was still going on.

"Search for your name." Nithya said excitedly getting everyone's attention.

I chuckled and held her hand and seated searching.

"Whose name did you write sweetheart?" Dhruv asked Veena and she glared at him.

"None of your business." She blabbered and started looking at Megha's mehendi.

"Here you go." I said printing towards my name.

She smiled and kissed my cheek.

"Ma'am kiska naam likhna hai?" The mehndi artist asked looking at Megha and she starred back at her.

("Ma'am whose name should I write?")

"Just leave it. This much is enough." She said.

This girl and her tantrums.

"Yuvraj. Write yuvraj on her hand." Veena said and Megha glared at her.

"Don't look at me like that. It might work on others but not on me." Veena said as she came and sat making Megha roll her eyes.

"Ohhh godddd.....I am feeling so hungry." Nithya whined like a kid and I looked at her.

"Why are you looking at me like that? Your wife is starving to death and you are giving her that look." She lectured.

"Starving to death." I muttered getting up from my place and heading towards the food counter.

Dhruv followed me.

We came back and I started feeding Nithya.

"Wow look at my dear brother. He forgot completely about his little sister." Veena fake cried.

Why am I the one surrounded with drama queens?

"It's fine sweetheart, I got food for you. I'll feed you." Dhruv said.

"Ouch...I thought you got it for me." Megha said making a hurt expression.

"Your getting married Megha. Ask your fiance. " Dhruv pointed out.

She looked towards Yuvraj who was looking at all the drama quietly.

"I would rather die with starvation than ask him to feed me." She muttered.

"It's ok don't worry baccha. I'll feed you." Gautham Bhai came with a plate in his hand.

"Awww....look and learn. My brother." She said.

"Excuse me. Are you forgetting your wife here? Even, I am having mehendi and I didn't eat breakfast also." Gargi bhabhi said, and Gautham Bhai mouthed ab apology to Megha.

"It's fine I'll feed her." Yash Bhai came with a plate now only to get stopped by Preksha bhabhi.

"There biwi bhi yahi hai." She said and Yash Bhai gave an apologetic look to Megha.

("Your wife is also here.")

She took a deep breath.

"It's fine. I have my nephew. Chiraggg...." she called out for Chirag.

He came with a water bottle in his hand and went near her.

"Kiddo give me water na." She asked him and he took the bottle away from her.

"Solly bua, it's fol ruhi." He said and everyone bursted out laughing.

("Sorry bua, it's for Ruhi.")

Megha huffed and looked away.

I turned towards Yuvraj and gestured him to go get her something to eat.

After 10 minutes of convincing he finally got up from his place and went.

"Here take this." He said giving her the water bottle.

"Ayyy idiot..... can't you see the mehendi in her hand." Nithya scolded him and he gave a fed up look.

He squatted and opened the water bottle.

He started making her drink the water.

Then he started feeding her food and the whole time we sat and enjoyed the faces he was making sitting there.

The guy who hates mehendi smell sitting just there and feeding his fiancee.

They indeed looked cute together.

NITHYA'S POV

Tonight is going to be a blast. We are standing in the dressing area, doing each others make up.

"Pass me that eyeliner." Veena asked pointing in the direction of the eyeliner.

I pass it to her as I turn my concentration back to Megha for doing her hairstyle.

"Ouccchhh....." she hissed in pain when I pulled her hair a little.

"Sorry...sorry." I apologized.

Once I was done with her I stepped back to look at her.

She was looking perfect.

She took the eyeline and lipstick and moved towards me making me sit in her place.

"Now I'll do your makeup." She said and I smiled

That's what we did all our life. Help each other in getting ready.

"Guys we are getting lates hurry up!!" Veena said as she kept moving from one place to the other.

Once we were done we went down to look at the arrangements and it was mind blowing.

Megha and Yuvraj sat in front of the stage and one by one started performing.

It was filled with so much fun and enjoyment.

"Sweetheart, Don't you want your other jhumka." Dhruv asked making all our attention shift towards Veena.

"What jhumka?" She asked looking at him to which he showed a jhumka in his hand.

She was about to take it from his hand but he pulled her to the stage and started dancing to "jhumka."

After that all the guys went on the stage and started dancing for "Mahiye".

It was finally my turn.

I and Vineet went on the stage and started dancing for "HEERIYE".

We both were so lost in each other's world that we were brought back to our senses only after people started clapping and hooting.

Then Dhruv and Veena also joined us on the stage and we four started dancing for "Chaleye."

Then we went towards the groom and bride and pulled them with us towards the stage and started dancing to "show me the thumka".

We all started dancing and enjoying. Once the Sangeet was done all of us sat down and started speaking.

"Guys after this let's plan for a trip." I said.

"Yeah it's been long since we all went out." Megha added and I nodded my head.

"Where?" Dhruv asked.

"What about goa?" Veena asked.

"But we did go there once." Vineet said.

"We were 20 that time. Now look at us we are 25." Veena said and Vineet roles his eyes.

"What's the difference, Veena? You are still the same." Vineet commented and she pouted making everyone laugh.

"Please guys let's go to Goa. The last time when we went we were hardly able to enjoy." Veena pointed out making us remember the horrible events what happened last time.

We all started laughing recalling it.

"Remember how we got caught driving scooty without licence?" I reminded.

"And how Dhruv left me in the middle of the road." Veena added making us laugh more.

"Come on guys. I freaked out when I saw police officers. And Veena didn't have any licence with her. So I just told her to stand there and I said I'll take a u turn and come and pick her. What did I know that we'll get caught by the officers." Dhruv explained this like the hundredth time.

"Remember how Nithya started crying?" Megha reminded and all of them burst out of laughters.

"Guysss." I whinned.

"But it was one of the best trips." Yuvraj said to which everyone agreed.

With this everyone headed back to their rooms to rest.
