MEGHA'S POV

"I want the articles to be mailed to me by 5 pm today." I said to my PA Deepti.

"But ma'am..." she was telling something most probably a stupid excuse but I cut her in the middle.

"Don't give me any excuses. I expect the work to be done on time or you can mail me your resignation letter the next minute." I said and cut the call without expecting any reply.

I walk down the stairs of my house and look at the people sitting in the living area.

"Areyyy....wahhhh kya bhaat hai, Aaj sab log ikathe hue hai." I said taking a seat.

("Woww.... What happened, everyone is present here.")

"Kuch nahi beta, just wanted to spend some quality time." Roopa aunty said and I nodded.

("Nothing child......")

I turned my head only to meet my eyes with another pair, starring right into mine.

I looked at the person and controlled the urge to laugh.

This 5 year old girl just dislikes me for some reason......ok well I mostly know the reason but still, I don't respect her Chachu and she doesn't like it. So, she throws attitude towards me but she's really cute.

"Ruhi......tis ishh for you." Chirag said giving her a chocolate.

"Thank you." She said taking the chocolate from his hand and giving a broad smile.

OMG these two...... I swear they both have huge crush on each other.

I divert my thoughts and look at who and all are present......and surprisingly, everyone are there.

My whole family, my friends and Yuvraj's whole family.

Something is definitely wrong......

"Kaisi ho?" Yash Bhai asked, coming and sitting beside me.

("How are you?")

"Great. What about you?" I asked. I love him the most he's the most understanding person I have ever met.

"I am fine." He says as he pulls his daughter on his lap who was still giving me a death stare.

I rolled my eyes and looked at Veena and asked her why we were gathered and she shrugged her shoulder indicating she has no idea about what's happening.

"Guys can you come to the point without beating around the bush." Yuvraj said and everyone looked at each other with hesitation.

"Actually......" Roopa aunty stops with that not knowing what to say.

"We all have come to a conclusion after discussing it a lot." Dev uncle said as the atmosphere changed in the room.

"We are planning to get Yuvraj married." Aunty said and Yuvraj's expression changed to a frustrated one and I tried to control my laugh.

Poor guy......but that's what he wanted right? To get married and have a perfect life.

"With Megha." Mom said and I choked immediately by air.

My eyes widened and I took the glass which was on the table and drank it.

"Are you guys serious?" I asked them in getting frustrated by their decision.

"Yes we are. If you both are okay with it then we can proceed with your engagement day after tomorrow." Dad said and I felt the ground crashing.

"This can't be right.......I mean did you guys ever look at us both? We both can't stay together even for 10 minutes, how do you guys expect us to be together for the rest of our lives?" I couldn't just digest the fact of getting married to him.

"How will you know that untill and unless you try?" Maa said and I was really loosing my temper.

"See guys I'll give you all an example. Think of me as milk and think of him as a lemon. When we try mixing it what will happen? It'll get spoilt right? That's exactly what you all are trying to do. If we both get married it's going to be a disaster." I didn't know what else to tell.

"But Megha, what your calling as spoilt can also be converted to something delicious. You can make paneer out of the spoilt milk and don't you think the result is good now?" Roopa aunty said and I just stayed quiet.

"Wahhh aunty.....kya baat batayi appne." Veena said as she came and sat next to her.

("Wahhh aunty....... What a beautiful thing you said.")

"I think it's a great choice too. Well I think no one else know them better than the two of them. So it'll be perfect." She said and I just turned to look at him.

Why is he soo quiet now? Why isn't he speaking anything?

I looked at him and I raised my eyebrows and tried to tell him to tell something but he just rolled his eyes.

He fucking rolled his eyes.

"Yuvi are you fine with it?" Papa asked.

"Uncle I need time as you know it's a big decision." He said and I looked at him shocked.

He's even considering me? Is he serious now?

"What about you Megha?" Aunty asked and looked at me as though her whole life depended on me.

"Aunty I..."

"Aunty she'll take some time and tell you later." Nithya said interrupting me and I glared at her and she shrugged her shoulders.

They knew I would reject it, that's why she spoke.

VEENA'S POV

I was so excited just by the thought of Yuvraj and Megha getting married.

Now all that's left to do is convince the both of them.

Everyone left and Megha just stormed to her room.

I, Nithya, vineet and Dhruv walked outside to the garden and started talking.

"So how are we going to do it?" Nithya asked and even I was so clueless at this point.

"Ok....so we just try convincing both of them why the opposite person is a better choice than the other and why they are perfect for getting married." Vineet said and I think this time it's only words which can play the magic.

"Ok fine let's try then. But whose going to speak?" Dhruv asked.

"Just learn from me people." I said and marched towards Megha's room.

I opened the door only to find the room very messy.

She sat on the bed frustrated and looked at our direction.

"What the fuck were you even thinking when you said that?" Megha yelled throwing a pillow towards Nithya.

Thank god Vineet caught it.

We went towards her and sat on the floor.

"Megha just think once. I don't think it's a bad choice." Vineet said.

"Yes you right.... It's not a bad choice..... It's the worst choice." She was totally pissed.

"Ohh please!!! Both of us and infact everyone knows that Yuvraj is everyone's dream choice." Nithya said and got a glare from Vineet but she just ignored it.

"Yeah Megha why don't you give it a try." Dhruv said.

"How do you guys expect me to give him a chance when I have no trust on him. I don't even think I can trust him in the future." She said and something striked my mind immediately.

"But what has trust got to do with this?" I asked and everyone looked at me as though I am an insane person.

"I mean weren't you just going to keep a name sake relationship anyways. You always thought of your marriage to have no love in it. So what has trust got to do with this?" I said and she looked at me shocked.

"But...."

"See Megha you always knew you had to marry and you also knew that there won't be anything like love and all that in your marriage. So when you're ok with the thought of marrying someone just for name sake why can't that person be Yuvraj?" I said cutting her off.

"But he always wanted a fairytale type marriage and I can't give him that. Why should I spoil someone's life ?" She said.

"Well if he really wanted that he wouldn't have asked for time and also he knows your views on marriage. So I don't think he told that without thinking." Dhruv said and it looked like she was thinking for some time.

"He's perfect for you Megha." All of us told together and she looked at us.

"Ok fine..... I'll agree with this but tell him not to expect anything from me or this marriage." She said and trust me that's the best thing I have ever heard.

We all got so excited that the four of us pounded on her and hugged her.

"Trust me you won't regret this." I said and she just gave a faint smile.

We walked out of her room and were heading towards Yuvraj's house.

"Didn't know you were such a good manipulator. I thought I was the only one in the group and the best at it." Dhruv said.

"Well you don't know many things about me and about manipulation, trust me I can be better than you." Well that's true. I never try to do all these things because I don't like it but when I do it I am the best at it.

"I'll look to that day when you beat me in manipulation." He said as he stopped walking.

I stood there and looked at him.

"That day you will not only understand that I am better than you in manipulation but also better than you in so many other things." I said flipping my hair and he looked down shaking his head.

He looked at me with a smirk on his face.

"Keep dreaming sweetheart." He said and flicked on my forehead.

"Ahhhh...... That hurts." I said rubbing my forehead and he just walked away.

I ran towards Nithya and Vineet and pushed the door to Yuvraj's room.

Why does this guy keep hitting that poor punching bag always?

"Yuvraj?" I called him but he just ignored and went on hitting that bag.

"Yuvi will you just stop that and listen to us." Nithya said and he didn't event divert his gaze.

"I am all ears. Speak up." He said and the four of looked at each other.

"Yuvi I think you should say yes." I said.

"Yeah I mean you know right Megha isn't like how she acts." Vineet said.

"She's a baby behind that strict rude person she tries to portray." Dhruv said.

"Well you know right you both would be perfect for each other and she also said yes." Nithya said and he stopped punching that bag for a second but started again.

"Yuvi please." I and Nithya said at the same time and aunty entered the room.

"What happened? What are you requesting him for?" She asked handing us the glasses of juices.

"Aunty we were trying to convince him to say yes for the marriage." Vineet said.

"Why?" She said and I looked at her shocked.

"Aunty don't you want Yuvraj and Megha to get married?" I asked.

"Yes I do. But what has that got to do with this?" She asked and we looked at her confused.

"We are just requesting him to say yes to this marriage. So both of them could get married." Dhruv said and she looked at him with a smile.

"But he has already said yes." She said and all of us choked on our drinks.

"He said yes?" I asked, my eyes were so wide that it was like they could pop out any second.

"Yes, he said it the minute we entered the house." She said and we all looked at him.

He stopped punching the bad and removed his gloves.

"Before you guys leave, clean the juice you have spilt." He said and walked out.

We sat there for 10 whole minutes to just digest the fact.

When the realisation hit us we got up shouting and hugging each other.

"Yesss they are getting married." I shouted and hugged everyone present in the room.

"Aunty I am telling you now itself. I am going to organise the whole wedding don't get tensed and you guys relax." I said smiling so wide that my face was hurting but who cares my friends are getting married.

"And aunty, all the clothes responsibility is on me. You'll get the best designed clothes for each and every event." Nithya said.

She looked at both of us and smiled.

"First you both calm down. It's like you both are going to set the world on fire with excitement." She said and we both looked at each other and said together.

"Aunty first let this wedding get over then we will think about setting the world on fire."

Everyone started laughing and I just couldn't still believe that Yuvraj and Megha are going to get married.

My Megha and my Yuvraj. My two best friends, whom I have paired all my life are getting married.

This is going to be the best thing in my whole life.
